The Recording Connection Audio Engineer and Music Producing Program

AN AUDIO PROGRAM FOR THOSE WHO HEAR THE CALLING...

The reason why the biggest names in recording and producing endorse us is because they know what you are now about to learn: THAT TRADITIONAL AUDIO SCHOOLS ARE A JOKE. They don’t work, they are too expensive, and they don’t get you connected to the industry; but they do get you in debt. PERIOD.

It’s no longer a secret- the Internet and modern communications have revealed this to be true. If you want to learn audio- if you want to get off on the right track to a career in the music business- then listen to what Tim Palmer, producer, engineer and mixer for U2, David Bowie and Pearl Jam (to name a few) has to say about the Recording Connection audio engineering program:

“One of the many reasons that I endorse The Recording Connection Audio Institute is because they put you inside a real recording studio to apprentice under a real producer. I am generally not a supporter of many of the 'traditional' audio schools because in my experience they don’t teach the things you really need, and they don’t connect you into the business. The Recording Connection, however, does.”

-- Tim Palmer (Producer, Engineer and Mixer) for Blue October, David Bowie, Pearl Jam, U2, The Cure, Duran Duran.

Have You Done Your Homework?

Famous music producers, audio engineers and music executives have spoken, and they're all saying that the best way to get into the music business is to get yourself inside a real recording studio and train under a professional. This is the fastest, most efficient, and least expensive way to learn the trade while you make connections.

The Recording Connection Audio Institute is the only school on the planet currently offering apprenticeships inside world-famous recording studios around the globe.

The Smart Way to Get Educated in Audio Engineering and Music Production in the 21st Century

Let’s not beat around the bush, if you are going to make it as a music producer or audio engineer in the highly competitive music business you are going to have to be smart, really, really smart. We’re not talking about “book smart” or “math smart.” This is a different type of “smart” : Diddy smart, Bono smart, Sting smart, Tim McGraw smart, Pharrell Williams smart, Beyonce smart, Paul McCartney smart, Jimmy Iovine smart etc. In other words, street smart- combined with the courage to execute. This is what separates the successful from the unsuccessful, and for you, it all starts here and now with you and the decision you are about to make about your education in music recording.

How does the Recording Connection Recording School Work?

One on One Private Tutoring

If you are accepted into our program, you will go to our accredited school inside a real recording studio in your city or town, or if you choose, in any city or town to which you want to relocate. You will take a structured course curriculum in audio engineering and music producing but you will not attend a “classroom.” With us your classroom is the recording studio and your teacher (or "mentor," as we call him/her) is a real life audio engineer or music producer currently making a living in the music business. Your teacher might be the owner of a boutique studio or the chief engineer of a world-class recording studio, a world-renowned music producer or even a Grammy Award winning engineer. Regardless, you are his or her student, and you are learning from this music professional one on one.

THIS IS AN APPRENTICESHIP, NOT AN INTERNSHIP...HUGE DIFFERENCE

Our tuition is very low, but make no mistake: you are not paying for an internship. Interns are the people who run errands in big companies and who usually don’t get paid for it. Your tuition for the Recording Connection Audio School is paying for an apprenticeship- that is your one on one education in audio engineering and music producing.

It works like this: each week, scheduled around your busy life you will attend The Recording Connection anywhere between 2-7 times per week. You will learn music producing and audio engineering through plenty of reading, studying and HANDS ON LEARNING both at home and in the studio. Apprentices quite literally learn by doing

LEARN AUDIO FROM INSIDE A REAL RECORDING STUDIO

You have a choice, and it is time to decide. You can learn audio engineering and music production from a well-respected music producer or audio engineer inside a real recording studio, OR you can spend ten times the money and learn audio in a classroom from a trade school teacher far away from a real recording studio.

Can you even compare the two? Of course not. There isn’t an educated person on the planet who would tell you to choose a traditional audio school over learning from a pro inside a real studio. Why then, do some people still insist on going to regular audio schools that merely get them into serious debt? The answer is simple: they are misinformed. They are gullible and they have bought the lie that traditional audio schools get students connected into the music business. But the truth is, nine times out of ten, they do not- and how could they? They are not recording studios, where record companies and artists; they are schools- essentially, diploma mills. How could these facilities possibly connect all their students to the industry?

The answer is, they can't.

But we can. Apply Here for Free

How Does the Recording Connection Audio School Do It?

For nearly 30 years, The Recording Connection Audio Institute has built solid relationships with the biggest talents in the recording and music recording business. People like Tim Palmer, Larry Klein, Patchwerk Studios, Bryan Carlstrom, Warren Huart, Billy Flores, Steven Baughman, Ryan Greene, John Travis (to name just a few) strongly endorse our audio engineering and music producing apprentice programs. The reason they endorse us is simple: it makes sense, it is low cost, and it works better than any other audio school on the market.

If you are accepted into our audio program, we will get you in the door of a real recording studio and then assign you to a working Music Producer or Audio Engineer who serves as your mentor. You will take our structured course curriculum inside the studio 2-7 times per week. As you learn, will also be working your tail off to meet as many people as you possibly can; thus, you are actually going networking while you are going to school. By studying as an apprentice, you are connecting yourself to the people who could (if you’re good) potentially hire you.

Am I Guaranteed a Job?

NO. Let’s not mince words. As you probably know by now, there are NO guarantees in life. No one can guarantee you anything, let alone a job in the highly competitive music recording business. We do not guarantee paid employment because we are not a scam.

But wait, let’s do some serious thinking on this topic:

No one would argue that the music business is a tough business in which to become successful- no one. That said, does it not make the most sense to put yourself in the best place possible so you can have the best shot at making it? Of course it does.

This begs the question: if it is hard to make it in music; if you agree that you've got to be as close to the action in order to make it; then why would you put yourself on a college campus when you could put yourself inside a real recording studio?

The fact is, if you are on top of your game, if you are smart, and if you truly are serious about making it in music recording and producing, the only place you should put yourself is inside a real recording studio as a student apprentice, learning from a professional. Period.

That being said, while we can't guarantee you a job, we do offer job placement assistance through our Stay Connected Program. This program designed to help graduated students capitalize on their education and forge their careers. Check it out, and see what we offer through one-on-one counseling.

THE TRUTH ABOUT MAKING IT IN MUSIC RECORDING BUSINESS

If you're reading this, chances are you dream of being the next Timbaland, Diddy, Jimmy Iovine, Bob Clearmountain, Dave Rezitas, Tim Palmer. Or perhaps you dream of being a celebrated artist who can record and produce his own music- someone like Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, or Dr. Dre. That's Great. We get it. We want you to succeed.

But please read this carefully and make sure your parents and friends also realize this one simple but essential point:

The only way you will succeed is if you stay out of debt, get connected to the industry, and learn audio recording and music producing from the people who do it every day for a living in the 21st century. Learning this business in any other way is irrelevant, counterproductive, expensive, and hurtful to your ultimate goal of making it. But don’t take our word for it: read what the professionals say about us and about our method of learning.
