Visit our Mentor/Apprentice Schools:
Thank you for applying to the Recording Connection apprenticeship program. We are very proud of our school and look forward to proving ourselves to you and your hardworking family. We know that you have choices and we understand that we must earn your trust.
We’d like to invite you to join our weekly Connected
show that airs live every Monday at 11AM PST. The show is absolutely free and provides five job opportunities every week in Film, Music, Radio and the Culinary Arts. It’s all part of how we roll at the Recording Connection.
The Recording Connection is like no other audio school. Here’s our approach:
We have spent the last 30 years redefining education in the arts. And that's the reason we are backed by the legends that make the music that you listen to. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. We are very serious about working hard for you and breaking you into your dream career. Please read everything below and share with your family and friends or click here to watch our videos about how our mentor/apprentice educational method works.
- Your teacher will be a well-known music producer, audio engineer, or recording studio owner.
- Your music, films and audition tapes will get heard by the pros looking for the next major stars or technicians.
- You will have more experience and connections with our mentor/apprenticeship method of education. This will better position you to get work upon graduation of our apprenticeship program.

“Let the sheep go to SAE or Full Sail…I will break people into this business if they are good through your program. No other school can claim that.”
- F. Reid Shippen, nine-time Grammy Award-winning music mixer, engineer, producer
“This is the program of the future. The old trade school model has been dead for years.”
- Ryan Hewitt, Audio Engineer, mixer, producer for Dixie Chicks, Phil Ramone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, blink-182 and more.
Legendary broadcaster Larry King
and other esteemed networks, invited us on to his show to talk about what we do at the Recording, Radio, Film, and Culinary Connection! In the interview, Mr. King gives us his full endorsement. Why? Because Larry King knows that this is a smart way to break into a career in audio, radio, culinary or film..... That's why.

“The Recording Connection apprenticeship program is a very smart approach to breaking into the recording business. I endorse this school.”
- Hans Zimmer, Grammy Award-winning Composer for films including The Dark Knight and The Lion King
“This is the best program in the world. The staff at RRFC, your curriculums and the way you treat your mentors is very special. I love you guys.”
- Cameell Hanna, Serenity West Studios
"The Recording Connection puts students into a real-world work place. Students learn first-hand what it means to be in a recording session with producers, engineers, musicians and songwriters, it's on the job career training! You learn the practical, technical and people skills that cannot be found in any classroom. I highly recommend the Recording Connection."
- Warren Huart, producer for Better Than Ezra, The Killers
"One of the many reasons that I endorse The Recording Connection Audio Institute is because they put you inside a real recording studio to apprentice under a real producer. I am generally not a supporter of many of the 'traditional' audio schools because in my experience they don’t teach the things you really need, and they don’t connect you into the business. The Recording Connection does."
- Tim Palmer, producer for U2, The Cure, Pearl Jam
The program has recently been featured on Larry King Now! and Dr. Drew's Lifechangers and is endorsed by some of the biggest names in Entertainment and Media.

Blake comes from a place of personal experience, as he currently owns and operates two of his own studios with a focus on EDM music.
