…the two hours I had in session flew by just practicing my flow on the console.
“Once we were all settled in and Rick took care of his immediate business we got right to work. My first task was learning the mic placements and numbering in the studio, then being able to come back to the console and pro tools and be able to line it up, and actually get some sound flowing. I was ecstatic to get right to work on the console, the most intimidating piece of equipment in my amateur eyes. I quickly realized the simplicity in it. I learned how to get a sound from a mic in the studio through the console to pro tools. I learned how to use the phantom volt mic level pre amp, the -20 dB pad, the small fader send, the EQ selectable, pro tools in/out, large fader return, and other tools as well. It was quite exciting and the two hours I had in session flew by just practicing my flow on the console. Fun stuff, looking forward to learning more.”
