“The last two Pro Tools sessions have been very informative. We’ve talked about frequency, pitch, and amplitude. Brian gave me a frequency chart to study in our 3rd session. It shows which instruments (vocals included) work well together at what frequency. Today we talked about the difference using certain types of microphones can make in your recording. Also, the room you record in is very important. We always sound good singing in the bathroom because our voices reflect off the walls and builds upon itself. Recording studios use foam inserts on their walls to absorb extra sound. If you need to take out the echoing in a track you can use the reverb tool in Pro Tools. Once again, I can’t wait to get my copy. Lesson 8 can’t get here fast enough!”
