I am excited to elaborate on this more in the future.
“In the studio this week my mentor explained to me the importance of understanding digital audio. As a seasoned electrical and audio engineer there was a lot of good information that he was able to share with me. He explained how a computers sound card is so relevant to interpreting this type of data, and we would not be able to record so easily without it. We also tackled some issues together such as clipping, quantization error, the nyquist theorem, and common digital audio practices in the industry today. He showed me how he runs his studio at a slightly higher sound quality than is the standard, creating extremely high quality recordings. This lesson will continue to expand and come to light the farther we go in to the recording process, and I am excited to elaborate on this more in the future.”
