The Recording Connection program is not only about giving students and education by working in a real recording studio. We take a lot of pride in those students who make the most of their chances to succeed through this opportunity. This program is truly about the trials of its students, the achievements they strive for and experience they gain.
We like to remind our students that no two people are the same, and that your individuality can be your greatest tool in any artistic industry. To highlight our students and their abilities we take time to share the stories of those we find are making the most of our unique program. We pride ourselves in what our students achieve while enrolled in the Recording Connection. While our students take advantage of the opportunities we provide during the program, we have much more to be proud of as what our students achieve outside our program as well.
As simple as it might sound, we applaud the efforts our men and women make outside of the mentorʼs studio and in the real world. For that, it takes outgoing personalities like that of Darlene Perch! Pleat take the time to read about her accomplishments throughout our website.
“The experience overall, I just love the people, with my passion for music I felt like I was at home… Itʼs amazing…A normal day… basically I go in, we review over lessons, we take from our Recording Connection workbook, thatʼs on a weekly basis. My mentor, she just goes and shows the students hands-on how to work like the mixers, wiring up instruments and learning how to patch up and learn how to get that into Pro Tools, Itʼs pretty cool.”
“I want to try getting into music producing. As much as I love DJ music I also want to get into Pop music, so I feel the Recording Connection will definitely take me there just because I do want to learn how to work inside of an actual studio and learn the business aspect of this. Learning how to present myself in front of clients and you get the real deal. Itʼs all hands on you donʼt spend time behind books the whole day and itʼs not a school style, I get bored behinds books, books are not fun I just love hands on experience a lot more.”
Darlene Perch of Tyngsboro, MA on what she hopes to achieve after the program is over or how she is using her time to focus on her own career:
“I really want to become a music producer / DJ song writer. To gain as much experience out of this as possible, I just wana know the real world aspects of music, you know and hopefully take the most out of this. Prepare for the best, what so ever. I just love the people, with my passion for music I felt like I was at home… Itʼs amazing.”
