Logan Circle, Georgetown, Adams Morgan, Capitol Hill, Penn Quarter, Columbia Heights, Shaw, U Street Corridor, Brookland, Anacostia, Cathedral Heights, The Palisades, Chevy Chase, NoMa, Foggy Bottom, Southwest Waterfront, Bethesda, Alexandria, Hyattsville, Silver Spring, Arlington, Falls Church, Bowie, Marlow Heights, Annandale or other neighborhood or suburb of Washington, we invite you to schedule a tour of our nearest campus to see for yourself why The Recording Connection is endorsed by some of the biggest names in the music business.
PLEASE NOTE: Not all of our recording studio classrooms have openings for new externs at any given time, and you will still need to "ace" your interview with the studio's mentor to be accepted.
This is hands-on learning at its best: A top-shelf recording studio filled with gear, and a top industry producer/engineer right there to teach you how to use it all! You can’t get this kind of access in any classroom or online program—you can only get it in a recording studio. Touch the gear, try it out, make mistakes—your mentor is there to help you step by step as you hone your skills, and even teach you secret tricks and techniques the textbooks don’t tell you about.
Another great thing about our campus is the history. Depending on which of these studios you choose to be your personal Washington, DC campus, these hallowed rooms have witnessed some of music’s greatest moments, captured on record by Platinum selling artists and underground movers-and-shakers alike. From jazz legends like Jelly Roll Morton and Duke Ellington to R&B greats like Roberta Flack and Marvin Gaye, to hardcore pioneers like Bad Brains and Fugazi, to modern hip-hop icons like Trey Songz, B.o.B. and Wale, DC studios have seen it all—including the very recording studio campus where you’ll be studying.
So, really, this is more than just an opportunity to learn on some cool gear with a working producer/engineer—it’s a chance for you to join the annals of music history. Are you ready to rise to the challenge? If so, we’re ready to help you get there.
