While larger acts and cultural events can regularly be seen playing at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium, smaller acts can be found almost any night of the week in some of the more popular smaller venues such as Kilroy’s and Black Pirates Pub.

Thunder Bay has produced several noteworthy and successful musicians over the years, including folk singer Ian Tamblyn, early rock idol Bobby Curtola, Golden Dogs bandmates Dave Azzolini and Jessica Grassia, and perhaps most notably, songwriter/bandleader Paul Shaffer, longtime sidekick for TV show host David Letterman.
