The Recording Radio and Film Connection is proud to continue supporting local and national charitable organizations. To continue to enhance the lives of individuals all across the United States, the Recording Radio and Film Connection has partnered with The Weinstein Company to make charitable contributions to the La Jolla Playhouse.
The Weinstein Company, founded by Bob and Harvey Weinstein after the brothers became disillusioned with Disney-owned Miramax, has produced some of the most memorable films in recent history. Clerks 2, Factory Girl, Deathproof, Planet Terror, The Mist, The Master, Silver Linings Playbook, Killing Them Softly and Django Unchained.
The La Jolla Playhouse is a Tony Award winning, not-for-profit theatre dedicated to the advancement of the art of theatre. The La Jolla Playhouse cultivates a diverse tapestry of productions and creative individuals. The La Jolla Playhouse has won numerous awards and been a part of launching many successful individual’s careers. The La Jolla Playhouse is proud of the fact that numerous Broadway productions started there. Productions such as The Big River, The Who’s Tommy, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Dracula, and I Am My Own Wife all started at the La Jolla Playhouse. Thirty-five different Tony Awards have been given to productions that started at the La Jolla Playhouse.
