Lesson 18 – Mixing and Automation
It’s easy to get lost in the sea of tools available to the modern audio mixer, but at the end of the day a mix is just a pleasing blend of sonic material in much the same way a cake is a pleasing mixture of edible material. If your recipe calls for a cup of salt and a teaspoon of sugar, the mix will be off. In the same vein, too much treble in an audio mix will disrupt the flavor. Building on our routing and session management from the previous lesson, we delve deeper into mix theory and learn how to polish mixes to a high sheen.
