Learn Industrial Music Producing with the Recording Connection:

Industrial music is arguably the most aggressive and abrasive form of electronic music. Founded in the early 1970s in the U.K. and Germany simultaneously, industrial music is the electronic music genre’s version of punk rock. The artists and the music often deal with themes such as violence, government violence, war, murder, and emotional pain. This genre seems to thrive the most when it is expressing the negative aspects of modern society. Pioneers of industrial music include Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, Skinny Puppy, SPK, The Ministry, and Z’EF.

To create industrial music, you’re going to need to speak out about the ills of our society. You will also need to master the synthesizer, tape editing, stark percussion, editing loops, samplers and other modified electronics. Through our one-of-a-kind electronic music externship program, the Recording Connection will pair you with an industrial music producer who will train you to use you personal computer and other electronic instruments while mastering software tools like to Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Cubase and Reason. As you work with your mentor, you’ll learn how to release the industrial music you hear in your head.  Apply now and learn more!
