Imagine learning audio engineering and music production from a producer/engineer who’s worked with hip-hop artists like Jay Z, Public Enemy, Queen Latifah and Run DMC and rock groups as diverse as Metallica, Iggy Pop, Smashing Pumpkins and Aerosmith.
Recording Connection apprentice Justin Slaven had that opportunity when we matched him with John King, owner of the famous Chung King Studios in New York City, cited as the “Abbey Road of Hip-Hop.”(1)
Our partner Dave Pensado of “Pensado’s Place” recently featured Chung King Studios for a special “Into the Lair” segment for his popular Internet broadcast and Slaven had the opportunity to help out with the segment!
