My name is Sebastian Howe. I am a student, 19 years old,
through Recording Connection working with Doug Maxwell at Media Right
Music and I will recommend this to anyone who is interested in any
field of the recording industry through sound and whatever. And you can
come here, you sit in an actual studio you work with the real thing and
there are no gimmicks, no tricks. It’s not over priced. You are not
paying for a 4 year college for an opportunity. Yu are paying a lot
less and if you do the right thing in the right way you can almost be
where you want to be. And yeah go for it.

I highly recommend the Recording Connection program over
any audio school because of the hands on training, the one on one
lessons and the real life situations, dealing directly with the
recording artists that are actually paying when they are here and they
need a good service. When you are in a school nobody on the other side
of the galas is paying and therefore it makes huge difference and you
have to deliver.

In the interview process when we are talking to potential
students that are coming in, we need to make sure that because we are
not just trying to take somebody’s money. Recording Connection is about
the soul of the music and the soul of this business and that’s what it
is. We need to make sure that the student has the passion and the drive
to succeed in this business before we let them come into this business.
We are trying to just weed out the people that are just doing it
because oh I heard a CD and it sounded cool and I wanted to make one.
No, that’s no it. You got to have that passion inside. That’s what we
bring out is that passion. You have already got it, you just need to
have somebody help you bring it out and to blossom it, make it yours.
It’s all about the soul of the music and the soul of what we do. That’s
what it is.

I was recently involved in an all night recording session
for an up and coming band from Europe and when it was over I remember
stepping out on Broadway, the sun was just coming up and I thought how
cool is this. I have just finished this session at a major studio in
New York City. I am finally doing what I want to do. I would highly
recommend recording Connection to nay one wanting to start out in the
recording industry. The only way to learn about engineering is by hands
on training. Sitting around in a classroom being lectured at isn’t
going to give you what you need to know to be a great engineer. You got
to be a part of the real thing. And I found out that the career
connection offers the real thing. With their help and a lot of hard
work I will be a recording engineer and I will be one of those people
who wake up every morning and say I love my job.

I got here and Donny, my instructor he is the manager at
Elephant Symphony Studios, he sat me down and we were talking about
what I would like to do for the future, which way I would like to go
with my career and I was saying I would like to record music. That’s
what I love, I love music. Never saw myself doing anything else but
music. So I got into music and now I listen to music and make it sound
good.

I definitely recommend, well first Recording
Connection is not even close to the price of these recording schools
and it helps people work in the real environment where the music
is being created. People that go through the Recording Connection
program will find themselves in major recording studios around the
world working with major artistes and seeing how it is done in the real
world not in the classroom. There is a big difference on reading a book
on basketball and being a member of the Lakers.
