"My training this week with my mentor was an Introduction to the Console, as well as more training in signal flow. Now that I have reached my 5th week with my mentor, things are going a lot smoother. I am now really starting to understand the process of recording, and I’ve gotten to meet other producers from my mentors’ facility. I have now gotten to know my mentor much better and I am able to come in to the studio whenever I have free time. In this lesson with my mentor I learned about the console, as well as about the input strip, mixing, and different audio bus systems. We also went back into my previous weeks of training and did a couple of microphone placements, as well as talked more about the different microphone polar patterns. I really value the time I spend at the studio because every time I’m there I learn something new."
