Use professional recording equipment to work with your mentors’ artists.
“I went in for my 18th lesson at my mentors’ studios in Sacramento, Ca. I set up my drum set, and then my mentor and I used a Beta 52 in the kick drum, as well as other vital pieces of equipment. We recorded our song in just the first take after practicing all night and putting together the guitar parts over night. It was a lot of fun, the guitarist was very nervous, but he did very well. He played both guitar parts and the bass recording directly into the studios system. He may even add vocals soon. I am so happy with the song and I can't stop listening to it.”

Learn the many different ways to utilize a recording studio.
"I went my session this week to see my mentor at his studio in Sacramento, California. I learned that musicians aren’t the only people that utilize a recording studio. I set up for a vocal session for a construction company that was making an audio recording to place onto a slideshow video that explains their products. They recorded the audio at the studio and after all the editing is done the audio disk will be sent to a video company that places the audio onto the video slideshow. I got to set up an Audio Technica AT 4047 condenser mic, and a pop filter in front of it. It was interesting learning how the audio on a slideshow is recorded, then sent somewhere else to be put onto the video. I really enjoyed watching my mentor edit the track afterwards and erase and edit parts."
