“My very first week in the studio was a great first experience for being in a professional environment. I was introduced to the equipment being used in the studio, as well as became more acquainted with the mentor. Within the first 20 minutes of myself being there, I was able to look at what jobs my mentor was currently working on. He was syncing the audio to a video for a local film group and immediately asked me on my input regarding a certain sound effect he was using. I enjoyed the idea that I was only 20 minutes into my first session and was already providing some creative feedback for my mentor. We proceeded to go over my quiz and my understanding of the chapter I was previously assigned by the Recording Connection. Upon completing this, my introduction to the studio concluded. I was actually in the studio longer than I was supposed to be. We conversed about our local music scene in Grand Rapids, Michican and the people in the industry that my mentor had worked with.
