THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
"THEIR" TEACHERS AND OUR MENTORS
Many AUDIO SCHOOLS claim that if you sign up with their school that
your teacher will be a working professional. But are these teachers
really "working" or are they "working as teachers"? Nothing
against teachers, teachers are wonderful and
should be commended for their willingness to educate, but the claim
begs the question: If these teachers working at the big schools are in
fact employed music producers and audio engineers how do they have time
to teach you in a classroom? If they were working pros wouldn't they be
in their own studios, getting paid to record music for a living instead
of in a college classroom teaching a class of 50 students? Of
course, the best way to proceed when choosing an audio school is to do
your own research and get the facts.
With Recording Connection your classroom is in a real studio and your
mentor is ALWAYS a working professional who has agreed to take you on
and train you in his own professional studio. The projects that you
will be working on are a

combination of your course curriculum and the real life
projects that come into the studio. Some of our students in the past
were more than a little shocked when Mick Jagger walked in the door, or
when Kurt Cobain showed up to record. But look, the bottom line
is this, NO you probably won't get the shot to work with The Rolling
Stones during your Recording Connection training, but think about all
the exciting real world projects you might be invited to work on when
going to school at The Recording Connection Audio School. Imagine
working on in studio projects for local bands, national acts,
commercials, voice over sessions and more?

Do you really think that this kind of real world education
could be duplicated in a classroom? Imagine all the real world contacts
you will meet. Do you really think that regular college is going
to be able to expose you to real world contacts? And even if you do
meet a pro or two at the school's "career day" seminar or lecture, do
you really think that he is going to ever hire you? Especially, when
there are ten, twenty, thirty or more other kids in your class?
Recording Connection Audio School is the school that trains you the
smart way. In

a real studio, under a real life working professional, in
his studio. But don't take our word for it, do your own research. We're
so confident that our program is the best program, we invite you to
leave the site and take a look at other schools. And if you do leave
the site, we're sure we will see you again real soon. Hint,
bookmark
us before you leave, because after you do your due diligence, you're
going to want to be able to find us again.

MEET MENTOR JOSQUIN DES PRES
Josquin des Pres is a Recording Connection mentor and the owner of
Track Star Studios in San Diego, California. Some of his credits
include: staff writer for Warner Chappelle

Publishing,
Co-authored songs with Bernie Taupin, written music for film and
television, most recently the theme for CNN's Anderson Cooper,
published books on the music industry distributed through Billboard
Publishing, and in his spare time Josquin is a bass player.
Josquin particularly likes Recording Connection's screening process
because his studio cannot handle a lot of students. The screening
process allows him to pick and choose from the applicants, accepting
only those who have the potential and drive to succeed in this
industry.
