How much is tuition?

Regardless of the course you choose, Recording Connection's tuition is $7,750.00.  This covers books, materials and tuition.

Do you take credit cards?
Of course.  We accept the following cards:



Are there any scholarships or other financial aid?
Yes.  Entertainment Connection offers a variety of financial aid programs to fit your budget and credit history.  So, if you need financial assistance make sure you give us a call at 1-800-755-7597 and we'll get to work finding a financial aid package that works for you.   There is absolutely no charge to you for this service.

For instance, Entertainment Connection offers Full Financial Aid Packages from Sallie Mae, the nation's leading lender for Higher Education loans. 
No Down Payment. 
Low Interest Rates (vary according to your credit)
Up to 15 Years to Pay. 
Borrow an Additional 60% for living expenses or equipment purchases.

If you don't qualify for the Sallie Mae financial aid program, Entertainment Connection, a fully accredited private school offers a variety of in-house financial aid programs.  One of them is sure to fit your needs.

How long have you been in business?
music school for audio engineersThe Recording Connection has been offering its proprietary mentor/apprentice method of instruction and job training for 25 years.  We feel our audio and music recording courses are more timely and relevant than ever.

How long does the course take?

The average course length is 6 months, depending upon your schedule.  We have a great audio and music curriculum that is adaptable to your desired focus of activity, be it music producing, audio engineering or live event sound.

Where is your campus?
Our campus is a real recording studio or production facility located within 60 or 90 minutes from your home.  We have mentors and recording studio arrangements in over 100 major cities.

Are you accredited?
Yes, by the NPSAA (National Private School Accredidation Alliance).

Do you help with job placement?
Yes. from day one we will try and find you paid work.  We have a full time job placement coordinator that will try and find you work.

How many students are in a class?
Usually it is just you and your mentor.  In some markets classes could be as large as 3 students to 1 instructor.

How do I apply?

How much experience do I need?
No experience is needed for most of the programs that we offer.

How do you compare with other recording schools?
Very well--unlike other recording schools, our teachers are real working professionals and studio owners, currently working in the music business.  We call them mentors.  They are professionals that make their living from the music and recording business NOW, TODAY, even as they are instructing you.

How long has EC been in business?
25 years and counting.

What kind of course materials and/or software do I need/have to buy?
NONE.  Everything you need is included in the cost of our classes. We will either buy or provide you with all necessary course materials and software plus you will receive your very own Mbox to keep on your 10th lesson.

If I have to move, can I transfer to a different mentor in my new city?
In many cases we are happy to transfer you to a new mentor as long as there are no excessive truancies and/or missed classes.  Amount of lessons completed is also a factor, but yes we will transfer you if it is viable.

Are there any age requirements?
Ordinarily, you must be at least 18 years of age to enroll, but some students are accepted with parental approval that are under 18.

How flexible is the scheduling?  I have a job so can I attend EC around my schedule?
Our course scheduling is very flexible. We will try to work around your full or part time job schedule. Class is also available nights and weekends.

What are some reasons I might not be accepted into EC? 
 
We base our decision to accept, or not accept, students based solely on what we perceive your work ethic, drive, passion and motivation to succeed. Nothing else.

What kind of credentials or accreditation do you have?


The National Private School Accreditation Alliance recognizes our audio school, The Recording Connection as a fully accredited private college.  Upon your request a Recording Connection Admissions Counselor will be happy to fax or email you documentation of our certification which validates this prestigious award.





The Recording Connection is a member in good standing with the Better Internet Bureau, an online organization dedicated to making the Internet a safer place, for people worldwide. The BIB logo assures you, the visitor, that this site has been reviewed and is certified to be a quality site.






The Online Business Bureau is a better alternative for consumers to investigate whether a business is legitimate. Our membership dues are much less than the BBB charges. As a result, many more businesses are willing to join our organization. We believe this allows us to offer greater consumer protection. While we allow any business to join the bureau; we specialize in rating companies that do business online through a website.
