Master's Programs



Take your Music to the Next Level


For those students who have graduated from the Recording Connection Bachelor Level Audio Program or another audio school, we offer three different MASTER'S programs to help you take your music to the professional level. Learn how to create, compose, arrange, produce, master, and mix YOUR OWN MUSIC, then pitch it to major record executives.

Our Master's Programs are designed for three different types of people:

 

  1. Digital Music Producer (MP1)
    • This program is designed to help artists, DJs and/or producers who want to make Hip Hop, R&B, or Electronic Music. Utilizing the software Reason, Master's students will learn how to write, create, arrange, produce, master, and mix a 3-song demo. The Recording Connection will submit this demo to major record executives with the hope that the student will land a record, producing, or publishing deal.

  2. Songwriting Artist and Producer (MP2)
    • This program is designed to help producers and artists in Rock, Alternative, Punk, Metal, or Country bands. Master's Students will learn how to arrange, produce, record, master, and mix previously written original material and fashion it into a 3-song demo. Students will co-produce their own music with legendary music producers Larry Klien or Tim Palmer. The Recording Connection will submit this demo to major record executives with the hope that the student will land a record, producing, or publishing deal.

  3. Live Sound Engineer (MP3)
    • This program is designed to help students with a basic knowledge of audio engineering who want to break in to the exciting world of Live Event Sound and Live Audio Engineering. Master's students will shadow and train under legendary live event engineer Billy Flores, learning how to perfect the art of live sound.

HIP HOP AND R&B, ELECTRONIC MUSIC PRODUCTION FOR ARTISTS, DJs and BUDDING PRODUCERS WITH REASON - MP1


Write and produce a 3-song demo in Reason. Learn one-on-one from your mentor in a real recording studio. Graduates will finish with a completed 3 song demo that they co-produced in Reason.

This Master's program is perfect for the student interesting in honing his/her skills as a Hip Hop or R & B Artist or Producer, a rapper, a beat-maker, a DJ, or an Electronic Musician. If you want to create music digitally, this Master’s level program will teach you how to work with and master Reason, the number-one program for digital music creation.

Upon completion of this program, all graduates in good standing who have maintained a "B" average with no truancies or unexcused absences will have their 3-song demo submitted to 3 major music business executives or music producers.

Tuition: 7,750

Combined Tuition if Enrolled Simultaneously with the Recording Connection Bachelor Equivalent Program: 14,400

ROCK, ALTERNATIVE, PUNK, METAL, COUNTRY OR FOLK MASTER'S in MUSIC PRODUCING, SONG WRITING, MIXING, and MASTERING – MP2

 

Are you in a band that you think has what it takes? Or, do you know of a band or other artist you’re dying to produce? Are you ready to learn how to produce, mix, and master a demo that could land you that record or publishing deal? This Recording Connection Master's Program has you co-producing your own 3-song demo with legendary producers Larry Klein or Tim Palmer, producers/engineers for:

Upon completion of this program, all graduates in good standing who have maintained a "B" average with no truancies or excused absences will have their 3-song demo submitted to three different A & R Record Executives at major music companies. 

 

Tuition: 10,750.00

MASTER'S IN LIVE SOUND – MASTERING THE ART OF LIVE SOUND AUDIO ENGINEERING WITH BILLY FLORES - MP3

Do you dream of working the sound board at stadium concerts or other major live sound events?  Live Sound Engineers get paid good money to see the world while on tour with some of the biggest performers in the world.

This Recording Connection Master's Program places you as an apprentice under live sound engineer Billy Flores, whose credits include: 
 

  • Motley Crue
  • The Eagles

  • X-Games
  • Eminem
  • The Black Eyed Peas

 

Tuition: 7,750.00

REQUIREMENTS FOR MASTER's PROGRAM (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

To be eligible for any of the Master's programs listed below, applicants must meet just one of these requirements:
 

  1. You must be enrolled in, or about to be enrolled in The Recording Connection Audio Institute Bachelor Equivalent Program for Audio Engineering and Music Producing.


    -OR-

  2. You must be a graduate in good standing of the Recording Connection Audio Institute’s Bachelor Equivalent Program for Audio Engineering and Music Producing within the last 7 years and have earned your certificate of completion from The Recording Connection Audio Institute.


    -OR-

  3. You must have graduated and earned either a certificate of completion or degree in Audio Engineering and/or Music Producing from another accredited institution of higher learning.
