Recording Connection Rocks
There’s an old saying it’s not what
you know it’s WHO you know,…well in the music business it’s a little
bit of both. To get work as an audio engineer, or music producer, it’s
WHO YOU KNOW and WHAT YOU KNOW. For over two decades, Recording
Connection Audio School Alternative has been breaking students into the
music
business. Our students go to class in real recording studios
where they learn under a master audio engineer in one-on-one sessions
in REAL RECORDING STUDIOS. By training this way our students are
meeting bands, music producers, classically trained musicians, session
players, audio engineers, rock stars, music business executives and
studio owners…all while they learn. This enables them to make the
connections they need for paid employment while they train, instead of
having to network after they graduate from college. From day one
at the Recording Connection you will be meeting the people that can get
you work…

The Music Recording Connection Audio Engineer School
Alternative will train you, in a real recording studio, with a music
recording
professional as your mentor. Imagine sitting in on a top music artist's
recording session. You'll never get this kind of real-world experience
in a traditional music school classroom. Just say NO to
over-crowded classrooms and YES to one-on-one training in a real
recording studio near where you live. Our audio
curriculum will teach you microphone placement, Pro Tools, running
the audio board, to interacting with talent, to creating the
final mix--it's no wonder we place over 72% of our graduates in music
industry jobs.How are we different?
Traditional audio schools cost between $15,000 and $50,000. We
charge $7750 for everything (books, tuition, curriculum, instructor and
much more.) For more information on our audio
engineering program click here.
Music Producer Program

Do you dream of being a music producer like Puff Daddy,
Quincy Jones, Bob Rock, Timbaland, Beck or Rick Rubin? The music
producer is the behind the scenes maestro who pulls together the entire
recording session. On the film set, a director is the boss. In a
recording studio, the music producer is the boss. The music
producer has many roles. They run the recording sessions, interact
with all the talent, handle logistics and budgets and are responsible
for the recording, mixing and mastering. The Recording Connection School Alternative will prepare you like no other music or recording school as you apprentice under the direct supervision of a music industry professional in a real recording studio working on real-world projects. There's no better way to learn. For more information on our music producer program click here.

Meet Preston Boebel. Nine years ago,
Preston was clueless about the workings of a recording studio--he just
knew it had something to do with a bunch of knobs. When he first
came across our website he was skeptical. But the day he stepped
inside a real recording studio he was convinced his life was about to
change. Today, Preston is chief engineer at Clear Lake Audio in
Hollywood, California.
Thinking
about going to audio school
for a career in the music business? Want to be a Music Producer? You
have a couple of choices: 1.) Go to a regular audio engineering school
or college/university at a cost of between $15,000 – $50,000 and sit in
a classroom with a bunch of other out of work college students while
you work on pretend “music recording assignments” or 2.) Go to
Recording Connection, where we've been teaching up and coming audio
professionals for 25 years, and learn the common sense way: ONE-on-ONE
in a
real recording studio where you will serve as an apprentice under a
real life music producer, chief engineer or recording studio owner.
Recording Connection knows what every single music business
professional knows --- the only way to get a job recording music for a
living is to learn on real gear, while working on real projects under a
real life audio expert. For more information on careers in the
music and audio business click on
