Lesson 20 - Final Mix Test
A review of your text, notes and lesson material will prepare you to complete a written test and a final mix of the song you have been working on. Both will be graded by your instructor and sent to Recording Connection for review.
This final exam consists of a written test and an in-studio, hands-on, final mix practical exam.
For extra credit, bring a band into the studio to record and mix. You will have the ability to use the studio at a reduced rate to make it easier to bring a band in to help with your “practice” session. Your instructor can arrange for someone to help you, such as another intern or an assistant engineer—or your mentor himself/herself might want to be part of the practice session with you. It will help you improve as an engineer, and it will help to promote the studio to a band or group that might not know the studio otherwise.
