I can highly recommend The Recording Connection Audio School's method of training because I came up the same way... learning from people who were versed in the lexicon of recording. We all know learning one-on-one from a professional is the single best way to learn studio engineering... but the regular internship model is less than ideal (getting coffee), and so are the current offerings from other recording schools.
