You don’t have to go into extreme debt to go to Music Production and Audio Engineering School

We can train you in a real recording studio for far less. Play it smart–get on the inside track, and get connected as you get educated. Our audio recording school is a highly effective and affordable way to start your audio engineering career.

However, we understand you have a life of your own, too. Along with an Academic Facilitator, you’ll have a say in what your schedule is and the curriculum will be based on what you want to know and what you already know. This doesn’t mean you already have to have some experience in audio engineering, but if you already understand the basics of digital audio workstations, your mentor can move on to something more advanced.

After nine months, you will have built a portfolio of work, established a network of contacts, and maybe even a job waiting for you. We can’t guarantee work of course. But successful students have gone on to find work with their mentors, other studios, or even on their own. A lot of it depends on you.

While we feel being in the studio is the most beneficial way to learn modern audio engineering and music production, we understand it isn’t always possible. Recording Connection has more than 250 locations throughout the United States, but even if we’re just across town, coming into the studio may not be possible. 

Even before the pandemic of 2020, Recording Connection had been offering remote learning to our students. If your computer is powerful enough and you have reliable internet access, you’ll still be able to have that personalized experience with your mentor. For more than 20 years, our remote learning programs have given our students even greater access to quality education.

It also allows you to choose from our roster of mentors. Live in Nashville but are really interested in learning from one of our music producers in Chicago? With remote learning, you can. We have Grammy winners, platinum-record producers, and audio engineers known around the world. Take your pick!
