What is the Recording Connection? How does it work? – Edwin Menjivar
We’re not going to put you in a classroom with 30 other people. We’re also not going to have you being taught by someone who wasn’t actually in the industry. And we’re not going to have you acquire a ton of debt while you get this education. The first six to eight months, you’re going to be studying everything you possibly need to know about audio engineering and music production. And then the last portion of your education is going to be 12 months of job placement in which we have a 72% job placement rate. You’re going to be studying underneath an actual industry professional, getting your knowledge from an actual industry professional. Now, you’re going to learn things like the history of sound and how it travels in relation from speaker to ear, how sound waves work, common in-studio workflows and practices. We’re going to teach you microphone placement, and then we’re going to go as far as giving you the newest version of Pro Tools and teach you how to use it as well.
Do you offer tutoring?
We offer unlimited tutoring. Basically what that is, is let’s say you’re at home working on a track, right? And you’re like, “Man, I don’t know how to EQ these vocals properly,” you could actually give us a call here and we’d be able to remotely access your computer wherever you are and walk you through that process.
Are you accredited?
We’re accredited under the National Associations of Private Schools. We have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. And when you’re finished with this program, you’re going to receive a certificate.
How much does the program cost?
Our program is $9,800. However, something to consider is if you pay up front in full, we’re going to take off $1,000 for you. Making the program $8,800. That’s going to save you about $5,000 if you go with the full pay option at the time of acceptance. So if that doesn’t work for you, we have other options. The alternative being, a $2,700 down payment with payments as low as $200 a month over the course of 12 to 48 months.
How many studios do you have? How long will my commute be?
We actually work with over 500 studios in the northern American area, so it’s going to be something about 30 minutes to an hour away from wherever you are.
