RECORDING CONNECTION MENTOR

What the Recording Connection offers is a way for somebody to be very intensely focused in what they learn.

Recording Connection students come here at least twice a week for two hours a time of class time each day, but outside of that they’re looking to be here any time. Students can call us at any time and say, “Hey what’s going on down there. Do you guys need some help? Is there are a session going on? Can I be a fly on the wall? Can I get involved?”  As they go on and on throughout the program, the more and more you see them get involved with these projects. And it’s good for them because they’re getting their name out there before they’re even out of school.

With the Recording Connection, a mentor is not just a mentor for six months or so. A mentor is a mentor for life. So, when our students are finished with the program, they’re absolutely more than welcome to come back and work with us, intern for us, even be hired by us, even if they go somewhere else. They could be in LA, they could be New York, they could be in Nashville but if they get stuck with something and they don’t know what to do, they have always got my number. They have always got their mentor’s number.

This is a place where not only can you learn how to do this and enjoy how to do this but it’s also a place where you’re connecting right off the bat. You’re building your network. You’re building your relationships. You know the students that come here, that learn from us, and do well at the Recording Connection are more than welcome to come back and engineer for us. We have graduates that have brought clients back in and they’re out there working right now.

You will get the technical skills. You will get the opportunity for exposure and you know you’re going to have a lot of fun doing this. It’s going to be a lot of fun and the one-on-one experience and relationships, just really leaves a lot of room for you to take it at your own pace and learn at your own pace and really dive into it and pick somebody’s brain on it.
